nostalgia

I went out with Marcus, Jun Ming, Nic and Khee Siong this afternoon for lunch and a little shopping. It was Marcus' idea to meet up and shop for collectibles, toys to be exact.

We had lunch at Waraku Restaurant at Marina Sq. How is it possible that the restaurant is in Marina Sq.?! I wanted to dine there on Wee's birthday but I could only find the pasta branch on level 3! In the end, I had to cab to Central at Clarke Quay as I was told that there was a branch there. =(

We went to China Square Central after lunch. There was a flea market within the shopping complex. The things on sale ranges from collectible toys to currencies to an assortment of olden days stuffs. Marcus went to look see at the figurines on sale while we followed. I grew out of my toys when I was in Pri 2 hence the things on sale did not interest me. However if I have the money and am able to grow space at home to have a display cupboard, I would want to buy the Final Fantasy figurines!

*exclaim* I used to have some of the toys that were on sale! I have the Power Rangers toy weapons. I have that Goldar figurine. I own some of the Macdonald's toys that I saw at several stalls. If only mine were around and in good condition, I could set up a stall there and be kY the businessman. Looking at the toys, it reminded me of the past when I would throw tantrums in Toys 'R' Us to get my parents to buy the toy for me. *wahaha*

I do recommend this place for anyone who wants to relive the olden days.

Left Chinatown for Vivocity for a little shopping before heading home.
